what a day.

Warning: if you get grossed out easily don't bother reading.
While watching "my twins" this week, we had an interesting morning. I say interesting because the events that took place were definitely interesting... to say the least. Here's how are morning went... I got the girls out of bed, filled the tub, then sat on the edge of the tub to watch them play. I was sitting there singing some tub song I'm sure I made up and the girls were loving it. Taylee started to grunt and my instincts acted quick, I reached down and pulled her up. If you didn't guess it already poop filled the tub. I then yanked Elle out before she decided to grab anything that wasn't a toy. I hurried to put diapers on them before a disaster occurred on their new carpet. I then proceeded to stare in the tub and laugh. This had never happened to me before and honestly I was at a loss at what to do. I then called my mom and sister, of course neither of them answered. So I just did what seemed like the best idea. I pulled the plug and let out all the water. I then took a grocery bag and picked up the fun stuff, just like you would for a dog. I laughed the whole time thinking how ridiculous I looked. All the while the girls were just playing on the floor. I look over and Elle has a huge glass of watered down diet coke between her legs. I barely grabbed it before it got dumped on the new carpet. Phew. Where in the world she got the glass of diet coke I still do not know. All I know is it was NOT mine. I continued cleaning tub. No later than 2 minutes later I look back at the girls and Elle is squeezing tooth paste in her mouth. Once again I swear the tooth paste was not of the floor. Finally the tub was clean and I got the girls back in the tub. After what seemed like 2 hours we were finally ready for the day. I can truthfully now understand why most moms cannot make it out of the house before noon. If you are a mom and you do make it out before then you are my HERO. Huge props go to you! Here's some lovely pictures of our morning... I promise i'm not the worst nanny. This is the first "interesting" morning we've had, and I hope we don't run into worse!

and finally ready for the day! love these two!

Oh my goodness! Your blog is fabulous! I haven't had poop in the tub, but my 14 month old just got over an eat from the toilet phase. Now he just likes to drop things in there. :)
